Spring Festivals in Cyprus 2026

Blooming villages, gastronomy, and living traditions of the island

Spring in Cyprus is not merely the start of the tourist season. It is the time when the island’s villages come alive through dozens of local festivals — many of which predate modern tourism and are deeply rooted in agriculture, seasonal harvests, and village traditions.

These festivals take place across the entire island — from the mountain villages of Troodos to the coastal towns of Paphos and Larnaca.

To make navigation easier, we’ve marked all events on our interactive map of Cyprus cultural festivals, where you can explore each location and plan your own route

Mandarin Festival — Dierona

The small village of Dierona, nestled in the hilly region of Limassol, is known for its citrus groves. Each spring, it hosts the Mandarin Festival, celebrating one of the island’s most aromatic fruits.

On the day of the festival, the central square transforms into a vibrant village market filled with mandarins, homemade sweets, jams, liqueurs, and handcrafted goods.

Guests are traditionally welcomed with complimentary mandarins and mandarin-infused zivania — a local spirit with citrus notes.
